Specializing in foot comfort, their store in Mercer Island, WA offers a huge variety of top quality shoes, orthotics (including custom orthotics, professional foot evaluation and shoe fitting) and shoe repair. If you are suffering from foot pain, visit Chick’s Shoes & Service today to learn more and find relief!

WordPress, website, Edmonds WA, All Season Charters Congratulations to Mike Jablinski for the launch of his new WordPress website for his company All Season Charters. When we first started this project, the former website was a sad and empty blank white page. We used the Wayback Machine to view what the site used to look like, and rebuilt it accordingly using modern technology and advanced mobile friendliness.

Located at the Port of Edmonds Marina in Washington State, you’ll enjoy spending time on the water with Mike, whether you’re an out-of-towner or a local. This knowledgable sea captain has been boating in the Puget Sound area from the age of 6 and knows these waters as good as anybody.

From charter fishing and whale watching excursions, to sunset dinner cruises and private custom trips, be sure to book your next sea adventure with All Season Charters!

The second is quality workmanship.  If you’re looking for an honest and reliable contractor, be sure to contact Little’s Construction for your next project. From decks and outbuildings to bathrooms, kitchens and open concept modifications, you won’t be disappointed with Randy and his professional crew.

Facefacebook-like-box-pluginbook has announced that their popular Like Box plugin is being deprecated and will no longer function after June 23, 2015.  They recommend using their new “Page Plugin” instead.

Esthetically, the new Page Plugin is very similar to the old Like Box plugin, but offers the opportunity to include your cover photo.

Implementation of their new plugin is very similar to the old like box, however they no longer offer iframe code.  Please note that if you intend to place it in the sidebar of your WordPress site and your sidebar is less than 280 pixels wide, it won’t fit.  The mininum width of the plugin is 280 pixels.

If that’s the case, you may consider using their “Like Button” instead: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-button

For more information visit: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/page-plugin

mobile-readyIn case you haven’t heard, on February 26, 2015, Google announced that on April 21st “we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal”.

This means after April 21st, when you conduct a Google search, the search results will give preference to websites that are mobile-friendly.  Consequently, if you have a website that is not mobile friendly, you will not show up as well in search results.  Read entire Google announcement. (Scroll down to February 26th.)

If you would like to test your site for mobile compatibility, you can use Google’s mobile-friendly test.

Studiopress offers mobile-friendly WordPress themes for about $100.

If you would like more information about how to convert your site to a more mobile-friendly platform like WordPress, please give me a call at 425.922.5515 or send me an email.
